Pink Chicken Blog – Cookies for Kids Cancer Update
Back in December 2012 we introduced you to Gretchen Witt and her incredible organization Cookies for Kids Cancer. Last month Gretchen and her team hosted a show-stopping Gala featuring the talents of more than two dozen of NYC’s great chefs and a bakers dozen of pastry chefs. Chefs 4 Kids Cancer raised over $900,000 for the cause and celebrated five years of hard work changing the lives of families with children fighting cancer. We were right there eating our way through the party! Each table of 10 enjoyed their own personalized dinner cooked right there on the spot. Our chef, Iron Chef Marc Forgione, made our mouths water with the most amazing food! The Barenaked Ladies entertained, and we walked away with the sweetest cookie jar filled to the top with decadent treats. It was a great night!
