Sueños de México
Although winter storm Juno didn’t pack the punch the weather teams promised it’s still slushy and gray here in NYC. In just a couple of weeks my family and I are flying off to Mexico for our annual trip to Tulum. I dream about this trip all year long. This sweet and sleepy Mexican town is truly my favorite place on earth. So many things come together to make it the most perfect vacation. The food, the hotel, our friends, and the bright, rich colors of the Yucatan Peninsula give me incredible joy. Our hotel sits right on the beach. A collection of little huts barely electrified, (we have to wait until 9 each morning for the electricity to go back on so we can make our coffee) the setting is so perfect it takes my breath away. The kids run from hut to hut – totally free and independent, not a care in the world. The grown-ups nap in hammocks or relax on the turquoise edge of the Caribbean reading and enjoying a margarita or two. Heaven. I’ve just started thinking about packing and will definitely put some pieces from our new Blues collections for both Women and Girls in my own and my kids’ suitcases. You know I love a fun Mommy and Me look. The varied blue color palette transitions perfectly from winter into spring. It’s not too summery and has a just-right resort feel. I love the Anchors Away print on our 2-piece Marabelle set for baby. And your little girl will feel just sophisticated enough in our ethnic embroidered Ava dress. Complement them at your beach BBQ in Marlow top or dress for Women. Feel so lucky every year we’re able to enjoy such a wonderful trip to Tulum. I hope you and your family and friends have the good fortune to make lasting memories wherever you are this winter.
