Holly at Home: Capturing Motherhood in Liberty Prints

Holly Williams poses with her family at her home

There’s something magical about the South in springtime—especially when you pair it with Liberty florals, the warmth of a loving home, and the joy of matching with your mini.

For our Mama & Me collection made with Liberty fabrics, we had the privilege of partnering with Holly Williams—a woman whose life is a beautiful blend of creativity, family, and style. With four children, thriving businesses, home renovations and critically acclaimed albums under her belt, Holly’s days are full—but her heart is even fuller.

We spent the day at her home, tucked into the quiet beauty of the South, where laughter echoed through the trees and Liberty prints fluttered in the breeze. Holly, alongside her children Stella June, Lillie Mae, Arlo, and Georgia Grace, made every frame feel like a page out of a storybook.

Shot by the incredibly gifted Tim Marsella, the campaign is more than a showcase of pretty dresses—it’s a celebration of the bond between mothers and their littles, the beauty of tradition, and the joy of creating moments worth remembering.

What have your children taught you that you didn’t expect?

"They see us for exactly who we are, in our most raw forms of joy and tears and rage and bliss and exhaustion. They see right through us and are the best mirror we can look at. If you ever want to know how you're really doing as a parent, it's so easy to simply say "What do you wish I did differently", "Do you know how loved you are", "What could I do better", "What do you wish I would stop doing", it's scary how much we can find out with a few questions and a calm response (no matter the answer). They are self-help, living in our own homes if we so choose to allow them to shape us!"

How do you find balance between being present for your kids and staying connected to your own creative energy?

It's impossible at this stage, it truly is, for me personally. Without my amazing team at my stores White's Mercantile running the show, it would be falling apart! I have incredible people who have been with me for many years!

I think it depends on the number of children and ages for the amount of time one can devote! There are parts of me that I miss so much, that feel like decades ago but they were only a few years ago. Sometimes I wonder if the music is still in me, but I know it is. Lying dormant, waiting to burst out one of these days when the tides begin to shift. I am excited for that time, for now I'm in full "surrender of the season", trying to be a thorough and loving mother to these four littles. In the rare slivers of time when I'm not falling over exhausted at night-I find moments of writing and creative dreaming. I have lots of help, a wonderful nanny, a grandmother down the street, an incredible husband who is present and wonderful. I'm insanely lucky for all of this, but anyone with 4 children knows it is just the craziest, most exhausting, most wonderful hamster wheel there ever was. Raising non tech addicted, real life experience loving kids feels like a daily battle in this world. Nurturing them, cutting their strawberries and ordering the next size undies, it's all so overwhelming. But it's the greatest honor of my life, truly. That is my first priority right now!"

What’s next for you musically — any writing or performing on the horizon?

"In this particular season each day is spent trying to find the shoreline of motherhood. I dream of more time to write songs, I dream of touring again soon, being in the studio! There have been a few shows here and there, I don't know when the hamster wheel of the exhausting glory days and the magic of young children ends, but I'm in the throes! I really, really hope I can get some creative time carved out to release an album in spring of 2026!"

You’ve renovated some of the most beautiful homes in the South — what draws you to restoring old spaces?

"Historic homes obviously have so much character, so much worn in beauty that has gotten better over time! Whether it is a run down large farmhouse or a teeny victorian, I have so enjoyed the various renovation projects I have been a part of! There are few things more beautiful than a classic Southern home with at least 75 plus years of age on them!"

Do your Southern roots influence how you design or decorate your home?

"Absolutely, my grandparents are from a teeny town called Mer Rouge, Louisiana that holds some of the simplest yet most beautiful homes I have ever seen! Classic architecture, beautiful ranches, and elegant yet timeless interiors. Their house in particular influences everything I do, from the floral fabrics to the hunting dogs art to the heirloom silver and ticking stripe curtains-their home was a mix of everything subtle, stunning, and southern!"

How can people support causes that matter to you this Mother’s Day?

"There are so many incredible child advocacy organizations in most every town that do crucial work protecting children against abuse of any kind, and informing people of how they can support locally. It's a wonderful thing to research in your area!"

You’ve been a champion for inclusion, especially for people with different abilities. Can you share what inspired your connection to Sweet Jordan’s?

"My precious sister died in a car accident at 27, leaving behind her husband and 2 young children. This was her favorite bakery and I visited with her, in her hometown of Paris, TN. Jordan is a local with down syndrome who had a dream that he could open a bakery no matter what, his parents and friends rallied around him and believed in his dream of opening! They employ special needs friends and are the sweetest crew you could ever imagine! It is a very special place with incredible food and so special for the community!"

If there’s one message you could share about Down Syndrome awareness or inclusion, what would it be?

"I was raised on the song "Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world". I have sung it to my children thousands of times and it's a very easy way to teach the most important thing there is-love. Loving others is what we were created for, no matter their differences. And specifically getting the opportunity to love someone with Down Syndrome will be one of the most beautiful roads you have ever traveled! They are truly angels among us. So pure in their heart and love for everyone, we have so much we can learn from them as a society!"

What’s your perfect Mother’s Day morning?

"Oh this will be fun! Someone besides me making breakfast for everyone haha! Yes that sounds lovely!!! My 3 oldest (10,9, and 8) would bring me breakfast in bed, pile in for lots of snuggles, and there would not be a single sibling fight! Which would be an absolute miracle at this age and stage!!! But if we can make it to noon with peace in the house, and the general feeling of joy and laughter for how lucky we are to have another day together, underneath the sunshine, in the presence of one another, that would be wonderful! Sometimes they randomly write adorable letters, usually it's when they are super excited about some fun we had together-sometimes it's after they have seen me totally lose all sanity, but they are the most precious treasures of my whole life! So...letters and snuggles. That's the dream!"

What do you love most about the Pink Chicken Liberty Print collection?

"The colors, oh the colors!!!! They are so perfect in their vibrancy, in their general spreading of joy and beauty, not to mention the absolute perfect fits. Something I have always come to expect with Pink Chicken!!!"
