Job Description

Pink Chicken is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Financial Planner who will assist the CFO with merchandise planning, data analysis and reporting as well as ad-hoc projects. This position is best suited for an analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving, is highly organized, proactive, reliable and works well in a dynamic, fast paced environment. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of planning experience, preferably in fashion, has excellent business acumen and communication skills, is a natural with numbers and possesses strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and analytical support to the CFO to ensure the achievement of sales, gross margin and key financial goals
• Collaborate with team to develop sales forecasts across our shops and website
• Use forecasts to create budgets needed to achieve sales goals
• Develop strategic annual, seasonal and monthly merchandise plans
• Develop and evaluate unit plans, projections, inventory flow and seasonal sell-throughs
• Monitor sales trends and inventory levels to identify inventory optimization strategies
• Create seasonal review, sharing insights with merchandising and design teams
• Participate in yearly financial budget planning
• Identify and implement process improvements to be more efficient as we continue to scale
• Identify and evaluate cost saving opportunities
• Ad-hoc financial reporting, analysis and projects across functions

Skills & Qualifications

• 2-5 years of merchandise or financial planning experience
• Prior experience in the apparel industry a plus
• Ability to organize and synthesize large amounts of data
• Proficient with data analysis and problem-solving
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaboration and teamwork skills
• Advance knowledge and experience with Excel
