When it rains it pours… and we’re grateful to be soaking wet!

In the last six months we moved our Amagansett store, renovated my apartment, signed two commercial leases, opened a store across the continent and another down south, found a temporary nanny, celebrated john’s, sadie’s, belle’s (13!!) and my birthdays and marked my 15th year wedding anniversary! Those last three and the store in Charleston all happened in the last few weeks. Whoa, that was a lot! Finally I have a minute to tell you how excited we are about our new shop in Charleston, South Carolina. You might be wondering what brings Pink Chicken down south?  Well, it’s not the incredibly frigid and unseasonable 21-degree week we are having here in NYC. It’s actually the total opposite. I have always been a big fan of warm Southern Hospitality (who isn’t?) and the classy and traditional style that Charleston exudes. Pink Chicken has enjoyed a loyal and active Southern customer base so we when the opportunity presented itself to open on Historic King Street we jumped at the chance. We hired local architect Heather A. Wilson to design the store. She took great care to stay true to the local vernacular while infusing the breezy aesthetic of Amagansett and our new LA spot. Come visit us in Charleston . . . stroll the waterfront and soak up the hanging moss, the incredible history and architecture and of course taste all of the local flavors.  We can’t wait to see ya’ll We wish you and your families a happy, healthy, safe and joyfull holiday!!
